Livermore 99 Cents Only Store Grand Opening This Week

The Livermore location will also offer a fresh foods selection, along with dairy and a frozen foods section.

LIVERMORE, CA — A new 99 Cents Only Store will open in Livermore on August 17. To celebrate their grand opening, the store will be selling 32” Flat Screen LED TVs for 99 cents to the first nine customers in line. The store will offer three days of specials.

“99 Cents Only Stores is excited to be opening the store in Livermore and wants to spread the excitement by offering amazing deals,” the company said in a statement. “To celebrate this new store, the next 99 customers in line on the 17th may purchase a George Foreman Grill for only 99 cents! The following 99 customers can purchase a hand mixer for only 99 cents!”

The Livermore location will also offer a fresh foods selection, along with dairy and a frozen foods section. The new store is located at 1490 Railroad Ave. and will employ 37 associates.

A few miles away, hundreds lined up for free ice cream sandwiches at the grand opening of the CREAM Ice Cream store in Livermore.

The Woods Family Vineyards recently opened a new tasting room. The tasting room, which will be on the property with their Livermore warehouse, will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday between noon and 5 p.m.

In nearby Dublin, a new restaurant and gastropub opened this month. Owned by Tri-Valley residents John and Jenny Samples, Inc 82 Brewing’s branding concept was inspired by the year Dublin was incorporated- 1982. The eatery features local microbrews and its own label.

Not into pub food? A new pizza restaurant with a unique twist on an old favorite has opened. The Curry Pizza House has moved into the spot previously occupied by Extreme Pizza, which shuttered earlier this year. The new eatery offers Indian/ Italian fusion pizzas, wings and salads on its large menu.

A few miles away, Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que will be moving into the building previously occupied by the Elephant Bar. The building has been empty since the Elephant Bar closed in 2016.

In nearby Pleasanton, the Arby’s fast-food restaurant on Owens Drive has closed and Starbucks has plans to move in, city officials said. The Starbucks application was submitted following Arby’s abrupt closure.
