Livermore Council To Discuss 172-Unit Housing Development Near Airport
Council members will consider approving project at the corner of North Canyons Parkway and Triad Place, known as Triad East.

LIVERMORE, CA — The Livermore City Council will consider approving a 172-unit condominium project on Monday at the northeast corner of North Canyons Parkway and Triad Place, known as Triad East.
The site is a vacant, 5.27-acre parcel that is currently a grassy field, ringed by trees along the street frontages on the south and west.
The site slopes upward from North Canyons Parkway to the north property line and is bounded by offices and business parks to the north and south.

The City Council has already approved Triad East, a residential development on the vacant parcel to the west.
According to a staff report for Monday's meeting, the proposal would provide units for all income groups with units sized 626 to 1,275 square feet. There would be at least 34 units offered below market rates, which is the required 20 percent of all units.

The homes would be a mix of architectural styles, with a three-floor townhome and one-floor stacked garden-flat residential styles.
The location is on an infill site adjacent to a new bike lane, and a half block from a new bus stop on North Canyons Parkway. The staff report says the project also implements policies in the city's climate change element, being located near existing job centers and public transportation, including the future Valley Link high-frequency passenger rail station in the median of Interstate 580 east of Isabel Avenue.
The Livermore Municipal Airport is less than a mile southwest of the proposed project site.
The Livermore City Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday at the Civic Center Meeting Hall, at 1016 S. Livermore Ave. The meeting can be seen on Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84503444981.
