Livermore Extends Moratorium On Some Fines, Penalties
Residents impacted by the coronavirus outbreak will continue to have some leeway in paying their city water bills, sewer bills and more.

LIVERMORE, CA — The City of Livermore announced it has extended its moratorium on fines, penalties and interest that result from bills that weren't paid due to pandemic-related struggles. The moratorium has been extended to September 30.
The order was signed last week by City Manager Marc Roberts, the city announced. It applies to Livermore Municipal Water bills, monthly sewer bills, the Transient Occupancy Tax and the Business License Tax.
Residents must have written documentation of their loss of income or medical expenses to qualify. Anyone who qualifies is still obligated to pay back the city after the moratorium expires.
