Livermore Police Arrest One Suspect During Burglary Investigation

A Livermore homeowner was at home Monday when someone entered their home.

Police arrested one person Monday afternoon in Livermore after a resident reported that an unknown individual entered their house.

At 12:24 p.m., police received a call from the resident, who lives on Highland Street, police said. The resident told police the suspect fled when the suspect realized the resident was home.

When officers arrived on scene, officers spoke with a witness who said they saw a vehicle, described as a dark gray older model, four-door car, possibly a Honda, in the victim’s driveway. The witness said they saw two people running from the front door of the victim’s home to the awaiting vehicle, which then fled the scene, according to police.

At 12:47 p.m., officers located an older Honda Accord parked in front of a home on Heather Lane near Scenic Avenue, police said. There were several occupants in the car. When the officer’s vehicle came to a stop behind the car, one person ran into the home, according to police.

Officers detained the individuals inside the car. Three people then exited the home and the home’s primary renter gave consent to a search of the home, police said.

A search of the vehicle, as well as the home, revealed no evidence of a burglary.

Police arrested one person who was a convicted felon on suspicion of being a felon in possession of ammunition, police said.
