LIVERMORE, CA: A Livermore teen who has six siblings and a dream of becoming a veterinarian was selected as the 2016 Miss Livermore Rodeo Queen.
Michelle Hewitt, 19, will represent her city at the “World’s Fastest Livermore Rodeo” on June 11 and 12.
To rope those rodeo crowns, or blinged-out fancy cowgirl hats, Hewitt of Tracy competed against three other young women.

Beth Hewitt, Michelle’s mom, told Patch this was her daughter’s first year competing for the Livermore Rodeo title.
“This is the first year she was old enough to compete for the Livermore crown,” Beth said. “She was the Livermore Jr. Rodeo Queen in 2014. Having worn both crowns is a dream come true.”
Beth describes her daughter as "genuine, sincere and trustworthy."
"Those traits will be reflected in her role as the 2016 Livermore Rodeo Queen and in her service for the Livermore Rodeo, public appearances and people she meets as their royalty," Beth told Patch.
Hewitt attends San Joaquin Delta College and lives on her family ranch in Tracy.
In 2015, Bailey Laughlin was selected as Miss Livermore Rodeo Queen.
