Meet The 2017 Livermore Rodeo Queen

"Don't squat with your spurs on."

LIVERMORE, CA — A Livermore woman who raises cattle and attended veterinary school was selected as the 2017 Miss Livermore Rodeo Queen. Juliana Marciel, 23, will represent her city at the “World’s Fastest Livermore Rodeo” on June 10 and 11.

Her favorite quote, which could also be called a public service message to new riders is, “Don't squat with your spurs on."

To rope those rodeo crowns, or blinged-out fancy cowgirl hats, Marciel, a Livermore native competed three times, finally snagging the coveted spot this year. Marciel said her favorite part of the entire process was the horseback riding.
