Planning Commissioner Evan Branning Announces Run For City Council
Branning, who has served on the Human Services Commission and several others, is running to represent District 1.

LIVERMORE, CA — Planning Commissioner Evan Branning announced his run to represent District 1 of the Livermore City Council. See here to find out if you live in District 1, which is located in the city’s northwest. Branning ran to represent the at-large seat in 2020, but lost to current Vice Mayor Gina Bonnano.
Branning has served on a number of commissions and advisory board, including Livermore’s Planning Commission, Human Services Commission, LARPD Foundation, and Alameda County Public Health Commission. As commissioner, he has advocated for better medical and dental care for Medi-Cal patients, improved city services, and an expanded downtown.
Branning co-founded the citizen's groups Unify Livermore and the Tri-Valley Transit Coalition.

He also teaches culinary arts at Village Continuation High School in Pleasanton to help young people who have struggled find careers.
Branning said he will work to support local businesses, build community connection, and preserve open spaces if elected.

“I define success as improving access to all the amazing amenities that Livermore has to offer and I need your help to make that happen,” Branning said. If the people of District 1 elect me, I will use this opportunity to work for everyone in Livermore.”
