Trio Suspected Of Catalytic-Converter Thefts Arrested In Livermore
The threesome was found with theft tools, meth and one newly stolen catalytic converter in the vehicle, police said.
LIVERMORE, CA — Three people were arrested Monday and a freshly stolen, catalytic converter was recovered Monday in Livermore as police were investigating another catalytic-converter theft from earlier in the day, according to authorities.
Officers were following up on a Monday morning catalytic-converter theft on Campus Hill Drive, when they were called at 5:40 p.m. to another such theft that just occurred on nearby North Canyons Parkway, the Livermore Police Department said.
Police located and stopped the suspects' vehicle — described in both cases as a white, older-model Mercedes — on the 4500 block of Las Positas Road, and arrested the three individuals, officials said.
