LOS ANGELES, CA — Several fake bomb threats targeting the University of Southern California Thursday evening forced the evacuations of Grace Ford Salvatori Hall, Sample Hall and Wallis Annenberg Hall.

As a precaution, authorities searched the campus to assess the threat. The university reported the bomb threat at about 4:30 p.m., and within an hour Los Angeles Police Department officials cleared the buildings, determining the threat was not credible.

Multiple universities around the nation received false bomb threats Thursday afternoon. New York University evacuated three buildings to due bomb threats at about the same time as USC.
