Rapper T.I. And Wife Must Be Investigated For Rape, Lawyer Urges

LOS ANGELES, CA — A lawyer representing 11 people accusing rapper T.I., his wife Tameka "Tiny" Harris and others of drugging and victimizing them said Monday he has written to state and federal prosecutors in Los Angeles and in Georgia asking for an investigation.

Attorney Tyrone Blackburn, speaking at a virtual news conference from Atlanta, alleged that his clients suffered forced drugging, kidnapping, rape and intimidation in at least two states, including California and Georgia, at the hands of T.I. -- whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. -- and Harris, plus their associates.

A representative for T.I. and Harris said the couple deny "in the strongest possible terms these baseless and unjustified allegations."

Blackburn said he wrote letters on Feb. 19 to state and federal prosecutors in both states asking them to look into the allegations.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office declined comment, and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

"These criminal allegations span over 15 years of methodical, sadistic abuse against women in various venues throughout the country," Blackburn alleged in a statement provided to the media. "These individual claims paint eerily consistent allegations of women prior to or upon immediately entering (the Harrises') home, hotel or tour bus (who) were coerced by Tiny to ingest drugs or unknowingly administered drugs to impair the victims' ability to consent to subsequent vile sexual acts."
