The Los Alamitos Unified School District announced four semifinalist National Merit Scholars for 2016-201. Congratulations are in order!

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — The Los Alamitos Unified School District received confirmation this week that four seniors have been named National Merit Semifinalists for 2016-2017.
"Semi-finalists are students who scored in the top 1% of students who took the Preliminary SAT (PSAT) nationwide in fall 2015," Tina Dingillo, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and Board of Education of Los Alamitos Unified School District stated in release. "This puts these students in an elite academic group."
Semifinalists will advance to Finalist standing in the competition by meeting high academic standards and all other National Merit Scholarship Competition requirements.
