Man, Dog Killed in Seal Beach Fire

The fire broke out overnight.

SEAL BEACH, CA - A man and a dog were killed in a fire in Seal Beach overnight, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

The two-alarm fire broke out in the 200 block of 17th Street around 12:30 a.m. in a two-story single family dwelling. Around 50 firefighters battled the blaze, which was brought under control around 1:30 a.m.

The residence had lots of combustibles inside, according to OCFA.

Authorities estimate $500,000 in damages to the structure of the home and $20,000 in damages to the contents. No other injuries were reported.
