Taxis, Shuttles and Vans Targeted for Surprise Inspections at LAX

Travelers dependent on airport shuttles and taxis may find themselves running late today as commercial vehicles undergo inspections at LAX.

Unannounced inspections of commercial ground transportation vehicles, including limousines, door-to-door shuttle vans, taxis and buses, were taking place today at Los Angeles International Airport.

The multi-agency operation began at 7:30 a.m. and was scheduled to continue through 12:30 p.m., said airport police Sgt. Belinda Nettles.

“The inspections of commercial vehicles entail both mechanical and administrative requirements,” Nettles said.
