• Bike crashes rise one year after ordinance (losaltosonline.com) — Los Altos police report that crashes involving kids on bikes and e-bikes in school zones have risen to 14 in the past year, despite a new ordinance and education push. Officers are still focusing on warnings and school-based safety lessons rather than tickets, especially around downtown and junior highs. Parents are being urged to reinforce safe riding habits at home. 
• Los Altos Hills completes installation of high speed internet fiber (losaltosonline.com) — New underground fiber lines now run through Los Altos Hills, boosting emergency communications and paving the way for faster, more reliable internet service to nearby homes and Foothill College. The community-run Los Altos Hills Community Fiber network promises gigabit speeds, lower costs, and future expansion, with town leaders planning a ribbon-cutting soon. Los Altos residents near the border may also benefit from improved connectivity.
