Highway 17 Reopens Following Fatal Crash That Destroyed The Evening Commute
The CHP directed commuters onto alternate routes.

LOS GATOS, CA — Highway 17 has reopened in Los Gatos after being closed for five hours at The Cats because of a fatal accident, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash involved a black 2014 Kia Forte, a white 2016 Ford pickup and a gray 2007 Toyota Camry.
The first call about the accident was received at 6:09 p.m. The CHP finally got all vehicles towed and the on-scene investigation cleared, cancelling the sig alert at 11:09, exactly 5 hours after the initial call.

At the time the Highway 17 reopened, Highway 9, one of the major detour routes, was still clogged with traffic from San Lorenzo Park to Boulder Creek.
Information on the victim has not been provided.
