MALIBU, CA — The nomination period for the Malibu General Municipal Council Election will end Friday. The nominating period began July 13, and the election will take place Nov. 3.

Three seats are vacant. In November, Malibu voters will also decide whether to increase the city’s transient occupancy tax, which is placed on hotels and guests, from 12 to 15 percent, which would generate an estimated $775,000 in revenue.
