Republican Senator Blames Shooting Victims for Failing to Take Precautions: Sen. John Thune (R-SD) responded to calls for increased gun control after the Las Vegas massacre, by blaming shooting victims - telling reporters that shooting victims have a responsibility to "get small” to protect themselves from gunfire.
Oh yea? Well one thing’s for sure, these victims could never make themselves as “small” as you did senator for making such an ugly, insensitive remark. And while we’re on the topic of small, being small didn’t seem to help the first graders in Newtown all that much. Gee, perhaps if Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, Kennedy and Ronald Reagan had taken your advice, things might be different.
The way I see it, about the only way making yourself small would protect someone, would be if somehow they could manage to make themselves as small as your private parts, but enough about your sex life. After all, we’ve got enough tragedy to deal with without bringing that up.
