About 13.19 percent of the registered voters in Los Angeles County cast ballots in Tuesday's election, according to preliminary results released today by the office of the Los Angeles County Registrar- Recorder/County Clerk.
The registrar's office reported that 636,186 ballots "were processed and counted" in the county from the 2014 statewide primary election. There are 4,864,774 registered voters in Los Angeles County, according to the office.

In the 2010 statewide primary, 1,021,448 Los Angeles County residents cast ballots -- 23.45 percent of those registered to vote, according to the registrar's office website.
