• Three People, Including Child, Found Dead from Gunshots in Burning Home (fireengineering.com) — A tragic early-morning incident in a Maywood home left a married couple and their young child dead from apparent gunshot wounds after firefighters extinguished a blaze on East 61st Street. Sheriff's officials say it appears to be domestic-violence related and report no ongoing threat to the community, while investigators continue to examine how the fire started and what exactly happened.
