MILL VALLEY, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

What does the nominee do for work?:
She helped spearhead the Mill Valley Masketeers, recruiting volunteer sewers to make masks for frontline workers and at-risk populations.
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Lee has been instrumental in helping food pantries, nurses, food servers at schools, Marin City residents, etc. have masks to protect them from COVID-19. She has been the organizer and recruiter to get fabric and materials donated. She has also recruited volunteer sewers and then distributed the masks.
