Leading Historic and Civil Rights Photographer to Speak

David Johnson will share his journey and his wonderful photographs on February 4, 1 pm at the Outdoor Art Club

David Johnson, leading historic and civil rights photographer, will share his journey and his wonderful photographs on February 4, 1 pm at the Outdoor Art Club, One West Blithedale, Mill Valley. A student of Ansel Adams who documented African American life for more than half a century, Johnson photographed both black celebrities and everyday African Americans. As a civil rights activist, David Johnson’s earlier work speaks compellingly to us as a visual record of recent American history. His archives are in the Library of Congress. Please tell a friend and bring a friend to the FREE Public Event. Light refreshments will be served.
