Marin's 36th Annual Big Time Festival Set for Saturday

The traditional Californian trade festival at Kule Loklo is co-sponsored by the Miwok Archaeological Preserve of Marin.

Marin County, CA — The 36th annual Big Time Festival is slated for Saturday at Marin's Point Reyes National Seashore.

The traditional Californian trade festival, co-sponsored by the Miwok Archaeological Preserve of Marin, runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kule Loklo.

Throughout the day, members of Californian tribal communities will demonstrate skills such as basketry, flint-knapping, clamshell bead-making and more. Traditional dancers from the Intertribal Pomo group and Dry Creek Pomo will perform.

There will also be vendors selling a wide variety of crafts and hosting informational booths.

Admission is free to the family-friendly event.

Free parking is available at the Bear Valley Visitor Center, where guests can access a short trail leading to Kule Loklo, an interpretive Coast Miwok Village.

No dogs or alcoholic beverages are permitted at the festival, according to organizers.
