Truck Fire Shuts Down Highway Lanes Near Golden Gate Bridge In Marin County: Police

Firefighters contained the fire, which was limited to the semi-truck's cab, officials said.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A semi-truck caught fire Wednesday morning just south of the Golden Gate Bridge, partially closing the Southbound lanes of Highway 101 in Marin County.

At 1:25 p.m. California Highway Patrol announced all lanes were no open.

At around 11 a.m on Wednesday, the San Francisco Fire Department reported the fire past the toll booth.

The fire was contained to the cab of the truck, and SFFD units were able to extinguish the blaze by 11:20 a.m., officials said.

CHP announced the closure of the far-right lanes of US-101 Southbound due to the incident.

Authorities did not say what caused the fire or if the driver sustained any injuries.
