Why There Are Words: “Rhyme or Reason.” The third track from Eminem’s eighth studio album in which the rapper sings along with the chorus of “Time of the Season.” Also attributed to poet Edmund Spenser in a conversation with Queen Victoria. Definitely found in Shakespeare’s A Comedy of Errors, in As You Like It and, with variation, in The Merry Wives of Windsor, and can be traced back to poet John Skelton, who in the 1520s wrote that "For reason can I none find/ Nor good rhyme in your matter." We’re about to receive the latest spin on this phrase and you’re invited.
