$20K Reward Offered For Arrest in 2014 Fatal Shooting in Encinal Park in Sunnyvale
The 20-year-old was shot in the neck and died at the scene. Another woman was shot, as well, but survived, police said.

SUNNYVALE, CA – A $20,000 reward is being offered for information directly leading the arrest and conviction of the person who killed a man in a Sunnyvale park in the summer of 2014, according to Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety officials.
The shooting happened in the 400 block of Macara Avenue at Encinal Park around 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 2, 2014, police said.
Upon arrival, officers found 20-year-old Ernesto Castro suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. Emergency crews tried to save him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman was also shot during the incident and was transported to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
According to police, an investigation revealed the shooting was gang-related, however no suspect or suspects have been identified.
