7 Suspected Burglars Arrested In Milpitas
The adults are from San Jose and Campbell. A resident was able to get a license plate number from the fleeing vehicle, police say.

MILPITAS, CA — Several teens and three adults were arrested in Milpitas last Tuesday afternoon after an alleged home burglary, according to police.
Police said a man was returning to his home on Whitcomb Court near Skyline Boulevard at 1:16 p.m. when he noticed two men he didn't recognize coming out of the side yard. The men left in a black SUV driven by a woman. Police said the resident immediately called 911 and was able to provide six numbers on the SUV's license plate.
Based on the information given, police spotted the black SUV on Interstate Highway 680 a few minutes later, eventually pulling the vehicle over in the Town Center shopping center on East Calaveras Boulevard. The front passenger, identified as 22-year-old Jeremiah McLeod of San Jose, and a male juvenile fled from the vehicle, but were caught after a brief foot pursuit and taken into custody.

The driver, Theresa Prada, 19, of San Jose, another passenger, Dwane Ricks, 22, of Campbell and three other juvenile passengers remained in the SUV and were taken into custody.
Further investigation of the home where the suspects were seen coming from, revealed a screen in the rear sliding door had been opened, according to police.

Police said McLeod had active arrest warrants from the San Jose State University Police Department and the Santa Clara Adult Probation Department.
He was booked into the Santa Clara County jail on suspicion of attempted burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and resisting arrest.
Ricks is on probation in Santa Clara County and he and Prada were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of attempted burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The four teens were booked into the Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of attempted burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary, and the teen who ran from the police was also booked on suspicion of
resisting arrest.
