Filipino-American Fiesta Set for Saturday
The free event features Filipino cultural dance and music performances.

Cultural performances, speeches and a celebration are set for Saturday's Filipino American Fiesta.
The annual event will be at the , with the opening ceremony and speeches starting at 2 p.m., followed by live performances by the Hiyas Philippine Folk Dance Company and other talent. DJ and dancing will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The event is organized by the nonprofit Filipino-American Association of Milpitas with a grant from the city.

- Hiyas Philippine Folk Dance Company
- Milpitas High School Glee Club
- Pacific Music Association, a Vietnamese group with a violin rendition
- Orchid Dance Group
- Mekong Rivers Group
- Island Girls of Milpitas High
- Big Brothers Band
- DJ by Oscar and Sons
The masters of ceremonies are Pat Amoroso and Trini Aoalin.
Dr. Dem Nitafan, president of the Filipino-American Association of Milpitas, will speak, as will Mayor Jose Esteves and Philippine Consul General Marciano Paynor Jr. The invocation will be given by Ana Andres.
