First Art Exhibit for Milpitas Resident
The water acrylics of Vinay Verma are on display at the Phantom Art Gallery through Sept. 16.
A self-taught artist, Vinay Verma began painting as a mechanical engineer in India.
He recently retired, capping a 30-year career, and moved to Milpitas where his daughter lives. Now he has ample time to paint.
"It gives me a piece of mind," he said about his paintings. "I'm just lost when I work with them."

The collection is one-year's worth of artwork, from abstract to portraits. They cover two walls inside the Phantom Art Gallery.
The display will last through Sept. 16, and then move to the .

"I was fortunate to have the Milpitas community give me the opportunity to display them," Verma said.
