The stolen Honda Accord crashed into signpost, police said.

Police in Milpitas last weekend arrested two people who allegedly stole a vehicle and tried to evade arrest.
Officers responded at around 2 a.m. Sunday to a report of a Honda Accord that had been stolen from the 1000 block of Nova Court. An officer located the vehicle traveling south on Main Street at Mihalakis Drive, police said.
The suspects, later identified as Jorgina Orozco, 19, and Jacob Pippen, 34, both of Milpitas, saw the officer and abandoned the vehicle, which ended up crashing into a signpost, police said. Both suspects were taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. During the ensuing investigation, officers also recovered stolen property from an unreported auto burglary in the area and other contraband on the suspects, police said.
