The community theater's latest production of the beloved classic musical celebrates its grand opening this Saturday.
It's the quintessential, feel-good song just about anyone can remember the words to and sing along with - "the sun will come out, tomorrow!"
Audiences will surely be singing along with the classic tune over the next couple of weeks as Milpitas' city-sponsored Rainbow Theatre debuts its latest production of the beloved, classic musical "Annie Jr."
Set in the late 1920s, the story follows spunky little orphan Annie as she is hand-picked from her New York City orphanage - and the cruel and neglectful Miss Hannigan - by the wealthy Daddy Warbucks to come live in his mansion for a week. What originally starts out being a publicity stunt for the tycoon ends up being a love story between an orphan and her new family; one that takes her through many adventures including a search to find her real parents, adopting her beloved dog Sandy, and even meeting President Roosevelt.
