Registered Sex Offender Accused Of Exposing Himself To San Jose Girl

The suspect was arrested after the girl gave police his license plate number.

SAN JOSE, CA —A registered sex offender was arrested Friday in San Jose on suspicion of exposing himself and annoying a minor last week, according to police.

On Sept. 20, 42-year-old Nakia Kali allegedly exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl who was walking home from school in the area of Hedding Street between North Second and North 11th streets between 3 and 4 p.m.

Police said the victim allegedly saw Kali committing lewd acts. The victim provided police with a description of Kali and his vehicle's license plate.

The San Jose Police Department's Megan's Law Team served a search warrant at the suspect's home in San Jose on Friday and arrested him.

Kali was also arrested on suspicion of annoying and molesting a minor with a prior felony, committing a lewd act in public, omitting certain information from the sex offender registration database and failing to
provide DNA within 30 days.

Kali was booked into Santa Clara County Jail.
