• City Hosts Pool Party For Neurodivergent Kids In Mission Viejo (patch.com) — Families in Mission Viejo with neurodivergent children are invited to a free ABLE Pool Party on Sept. 19 at the Montanoso Recreation and Fitness Center, designed to offer a safe, welcoming space. The city's ABLE program focuses on inclusive recreation for people with physical or developmental disabilities, and residents can learn pool rules or register online and by email.
   

• Rail line closes due to big wave, high tide damage in south O.C. (dailybreeze.com) — Rail service through south Orange County is temporarily shut down after high tides and powerful waves damaged tracks near San Clemente, limiting Metrolink trains to the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo station. Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner is also curtailed, with a bus bridge between Irvine and Oceanside, and no clear reopening date yet as crews work on emergency stabilization and longer-term coastal protections.
