Community Corner

A Sparr Heights challenge

Many of you know that this Sunday, May 5th, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. is the “Wags & Whiskers” event at the 2300 and 2400 blocks of Honolulu Avenue.  I’ve promised the Glendale Humane Society I’d help raise funds to support their work on behalf of abandoned and rescued pets in our city.  GHS is a “no-kill” facility, unlike others in nearby cities—which I like.

I’ve pledged to match all donations up to $500 from friends and neighbors on Oak Circle Drive and the Sparr Heights community.  If you can give $10, $25, $50 or even more it will go to a great cause.
