Glendale College Chamber Music Ensembles

Musicians from the Glendale Community College Chamber Music Program will perform a free recital featuring voice, violin, cello, guitar, clarinet, and piano. A night of great music at the Central Library.

The Glendale Community College Chamber Music Program consists of several small groups of two or more student musicians performing works from almost any musical period. Each group is led by a professional musician. The course culminates in an exciting recital where each instrumental group presents selected pieces with often quite diverse instrumentation.

Chamber music is written for a small ensemble of musicians to perform in an intimate setting. The most common instruments are almost any combination of strings, woodwinds and/or piano, although guitar, brass instruments, a second piano and even a vocalist often get into the mix.

Enthusiastic musicians are encouraged to sign up to audition for the Spring semester with the Glendale Community College Chamber Music Program. Contact Ms. Beth Pflueger at 818-240-1000, extension 5829, or pflueger@glendale.edu.
