Walk This Way Shoes, a Montrose independent footwear store, reopened under new management in April.
Shoe-lovers looking for a new kicks might want to stop by the newly reopened in Montrose.
The store at 2253 Honolulu Ave, Montrose, has a new manager--longtime customer Edna Baghoumian.
Baghoumian is the former owner of , Montrose. She sold her business in 2006 and decided she wanted to own the local shoe store several years later.

"I always loved this store and I approached the previous owner and I said, 'I'm interested in buying the store,'" Baghoumian said.
Now that the store is open again and redesigned, Baghoumian has added new styles for summer and spring with bold, comfortable strappy sandals for women and earth-tone boots for men.

The modern store displays footwear brands including Dansko, Clarks and SAS.
Customers for the store often look for all types of styles, but mostly crave the comfort factor, something the store employees know how to help with, Baghoumian said.
"They will get the best customer support here," she said.
The store offers $15 off any SAS brand purchase during April, Baghoumian said. She hopes locals take the shop up on its offer and buy shoes from the Montrose store.
"I am all for small business. I think the neighborhood stores need neighborhood support," Baghoumian said.
