The History of Ha! Comedy from Ancient Tricksters to 'Modern Family'

Ripped from the pages of his award-eligible Funny: The Book / Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Comedy, David Misch presents "The History of Ha!", a some-holds-barred survey of absolutely everything funny that's ever happened, in 60 minutes. (FDA Advisory: Some funny things not included). From ancient Greece to "Modern Family", Mr. Misch looks at what comedy is, where it comes from and where it's going (oddly enough, Philadelphia).

Among David's TV and movie credits are the multiple-Emmy-nominated "Mork and Mindy", the Emmy-losing "Duckman", the Emmy-engorged "Saturday Night Live", and the Emmy-ineligible The Muppets Take Manhattan. David's also a playwright, songwriter, blogger, teacher and recovered stand-up comic who's spoken at Columbia University, the 92nd St. Y (NYC), the University of Southern California, the Chicago and Boston Public Libraries, and the American Film Institute. Too much more atdavidmisch.com and funnythebook.com, not to mention (and yet I'm mentioning) Twit-ter (@funnythebook) and Facebook (funny-thebook)
