If you have e-waste to recycle in Santa Clara County, take note: GreenCitizen has moved locations from Palo Alto (formerly 161 Homer Avenue) to 2500 West El Camino Real in Mountain View. The new GreenCitizen eco-center is located in the San Antonio Shopping Center (across from Whole Foods Market, near Subway) at the corner of West El Camino Real and Showers Drive. It is half a block from Wal-Mart, Sears, Target, Trader Joe’s, Ross Dress, 24 Hour Fitness, BevMo and Kohl’s.
“We hope our loyal customers in Palo Alto will continue to visit us in Mountain View to drop off their recyclables,” says James Kao, CEO of GreenCitizen, who notes that the new location is just four miles from its former home in Palo Alto. A substantial rent increase forced GreenCitizen to seek a new home, according to Kao.
“We welcome our old friends from Palo Alto who helped make our center thrive with their commitment to protecting the environment from the harmful effects of old electronics,” says Kao, “And we look forward to introducing ourselves to new customers in Mountain View and the surrounding areas.”
