County Bomb Squad Responds To Webster Street House
A resident discovered World War II-era devices. This is bomb scare No. 2 today in Palo Alto.

The Santa Clara County bomb squad is responding today to a house on the 1900 block of Webster Street after a resident discovered a box of World War II-era grenades and mortars, police said.
Residents of the nearby homes were advised to shelter in place, while the homeowners adjacent to the property were evacuated, according to the Palo Alto Police Department.
The Webster Street resident moved the devices to the home’s driveway before realizing what they were, police said.
