Debris on Highway 101 Causes 9 Flat Tires

The debris was just north of the South Shoreline Boulevard off-ramp,according to the CHP.

Nine vehicles driving on southbound U.S. Highway 101 in Mountain View received flat tires this morning as a result of debris in the roadway.

Around 3:44 a.m., CHP dispatchers first received a report of the vehicles encountering debris on the highway’s southbound lanes, just north of the South Shoreline Boulevard off-ramp, according to CHP officials. By 4:12 a.m., crews had removed all large pieces of debris from the roadway, CHP officials said.

CHP officials have not identified the debris and did not say what caused it.
