Man Walks From Mtn. View Walmart In Stolen Shoes: Police
An employee who tried to stop him was allegedly struck in the face.
Police are looking for a man who walked away from a Mountain View Walmart store Sunday afternoon wearing a pair of shoes that hadn’t been paid for and fled from employees who attempted to stop him.
Shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of a theft at the store at 600 Showers Drive in the San Antonio shopping center, police said. The suspect put on a pair of shoes and walked out of the store without paying for the merchandise, according to police.
The store’s loss prevention employees attempted to detain the suspect, who in return swung his arms at them before he fled the scene, police said.

One of the employees was struck in the face, according to police.
Police have released photos of the suspect taken from the store’s surveillance system. He’s described as a man in his early 30s, weighing between 140 and 150 pounds and standing 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build, light complexion, beard and bald head, police said.
