Mountain View A La Carte & Art Cancels 2020 Festival
The announcement comes on the heels of Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show cancellation in Half Moon Bay due to coronavirus concerns.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — The Mountain View A la Carte & Art 2020 festival, planned for May 2-3, is canceled due to concerns stemming from the new coronavirus, organizers said today.
"This decision was not made lightly knowing the festival's importance as a fundraiser for the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce and participating non-profit groups, a showcase event for artists, musicians, culinary creators and all of downtown Mountain View, and out of respect to the tireless efforts of our festival committee,” officials said, adding that the cancellation was made after consulting medical experts, city and county officials.
The annual festival, a Silicon Valley staple for 24 years, always draws large crowds with its live music, juried arts-and-crafts show, vendors, food, wine, craft beer, a classic car show and kids’ amusements area.

The announcement from A la Carte & Art organizers follows the news of the cancellation of the annual Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show, set for April 26 in Half Moon Bay, as efforts rise throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and worldwide to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Mountain View event has a 2021 date set, with the festival scheduled to run May 1-2, 2021, officials said. The Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show, meanwhile, is booked to return to Half Moon Bay April 25, 2021.
