Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show 2020 Cancels In Half Moon Bay

The annual event, that always draws crowds of vintage-car and -aircraft enthusiasts, was scheduled April 26 on the Peninsula.

HALF MOON BAY, CA —Joining a growing list of cancellations due to coronavirus concerns,the Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show, a Half Moon Bay extravaganza that annually draws multitudes with car, motorcycle and air shows, plus food and music, is canceling its April 26 event, according to organizers.

"This decision was not made lightly knowing the show's importance as the largest fundraiser for the Coastside Adult Day Health Center, participating non-profit groups, and out of respect for the tireless efforts of our volunteer committee,” officials said. “As the organizing committee behind a large-scale event, we are committed to protecting and keeping safe our attendees, participants, volunteers and all involved.”

For those who will miss the event this year, take heart: The Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show is booked to return April 25, 2021.

"In the bigger humanitarian picture, our good thoughts and prayers go out to all being impacted significantly by the unprecedented situation we’re experiencing," organizers added. "Collectively, let’s work through this and thoughtfully support each other with kindness in every way possible."

Locals who wish to contribute to the adult day center, to help make up for the missing fundraising effort from 2020 receipts, can follow this link: Coastside Adult Day Health Center. The Coastside Adult Day Health Center, on Main Street in Half Moon Bay, serves vulnerable clients with health and memory problems. Along with numerous agencies, the center is closed though March 27 due to COVID-19 concerns, and will then reevaluate circumstances, the organization said.
