Mountain View Toastmasters is being formed to help members of the community achieve their communication and leadership goals. This may include business presentations, leading small group discussions, giving a toast at a wedding, or socializing with friends and colleagues. As part of the Toastmasters International organization -- www.toastmasters.org -- the club welcomes speakers of all experience levels, from novices looking to overcome stage fright, to advanced speakers seeking to polish their skills.
The club’s first meeting will include a demonstration of a typical Toastmasters meeting, including a prepared speech, impromptu speaking, and evaluations. The initial meeting will also accommodate a Q&A session about Toastmasters International, as well as an opportunity to socialize and network with members of the local Toastmasters community.
