MENIFEE, CA — Touted as "the largest bike park of its kind in Southern California," Menifee's Gale Webb Action Sports Park celebrates its one-year anniversary next month and the public is invited to join the hoopla.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Nov. 4 at the park located at 26533 Craig Avenue. The celebration includes demonstrations, open ride sessions, food vendors, music, a bike raffle for volunteers who help keep the park maintained, and more.

It's a regional attraction and has hosted several prominent action sports icons, including Vans Vice President Steve Van Doren and BMX legends Eddie Fiola, Pat Casey, Bella Hammond, Andy Buckworth, and Dylan Stark.

"Gale has made a tremendous impact in the action sports park industry for her willingness to keep pushing forward through unprecedented personal tragedies and inspiring children of all ages," according to a city news release that touted Webb's Kids-R-#1 nonprofit.

Menifee City Councilmember Ricky Estrada said the park and the upcoming celebration are a "perfect tribute" to Webb, "who has been a mentor to so many and continues to provide encouragement to the kids throughout our community."
