1. Measure B asks voters for fire prevention and parks tax (napavalleyregister.com) — Napa County voters will soon decide Measure B, a proposed half‑cent sales tax that would fund new parks, open space and long‑term wildfire prevention across the county, including the city of Napa. The measure would split about $23 million a year between the Open Space District and county fire‑prevention projects, raising Napa's sales tax rate while promising more trails, fuel breaks and defensible‑space work.
   

2. Inner Wave Expands 'See You When I Get Back' To A Deluxe Edition With Six New Tracks (wildfiremusic.net) — Inner Wave is bringing their expanded "See You When I Get Back" tour to Napa Music Hall Ballroom on October 28, giving local fans a chance to hear six new deluxe-edition tracks live. The LA-based Latin indie band is weaving Napa into a short California-Arizona run that also hits San Francisco, Pomona, Fresno, and several Southwest cities.
   

3. Napa Valley Vintners launches 'Tonight, It's Napa' marketing campaign (napavalleyregister.com) — Napa Valley Vintners is rolling out a three-year "Tonight, It's Napa" campaign aimed at getting more people to choose Napa wines in everyday moments, not just special occasions. Funded from the group's reserves, the effort will send local wineries into key markets nationwide, expand consumer events and trade outreach, and spotlight Napa Valley as a leader during a challenging period for the wine business.
   

4. Porta Party Band takes music to the streets (napavalleyregister.com) — A new 12‑member Porta Party Band, led by Napa High assistant director of instrumental music Alan Parks, is bringing pop‑up, power‑free performances to local streets after debuting at the Napa Rail Arts District's Action Art Fest. Made up of veteran Napa musicians and alumni, the group blends nostalgia, community spirit and playful animal masks, with hopes of landing winery gigs and larger local stages in the future.
