Deadline This Month For $2,500 Grants To Local Schools

A total of $50,000 will be awarded by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.

BAY AREA — Grants of up to $2,500 will be awarded to K-12 schools, teachers, student leaders, or parent leaders in the Bay Area to implement air quality-related projects. The money is from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, which is offering a total of $50,000.

The money is earmarked for projects that increase knowledge about the science of air quality, the relationship between air quality and public health, and the impact of air pollution on the global climate.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Jan. 31.
