Peaceful Protesters March At Cal State Northridge
A gathering organized by Black Lives Matter Northridge and local citizens marched peacefully in the area around campus mid-day Tuesday.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Protestors gathered at Cal State Northridge Tuesday afternoon as demonstrations over the death of George Floyd break out all over Los Angeles County. The protest was organized as a peaceful sit-in by Northridge Black Lives Matter, Northridge citizens, and Cal State Northridge students, according to the Northridge BLM's Instagram page.
The group of peaceful demonstrators gathered at the lawn of CSUN’s Oviatt Library at around noon, according Jeff Noblitt, CSUN associate vice president of marketing and communications. Noblitt said that it was not a CSUN event, but he attended part of it with his family.
After prayers and opening remarks on the lawn by the protest’s organizers, Noblitt said that the group marched down Reseda Boulevard onto Lassen Street and down Zelzah Avenue before returning back to campus for more speeches.
