North Marin Water District construction crews will be replacing a cast iron water main in South Novato Boulevard near the Rowland Boulevard intersection from July 6 to July 29. Traffic control will be in place as needed and motorists are asked to use caution while driving in the area. Minor traffic delays may occur.
NMWD crews will be installing isolation valves so customers’ water service will not be interrupted. NMWD crews and an outside contractor will then “pipe burst” 600 feet of deteriorated 12-inch cast iron pipe and pull in new fusible PVC pipe in its place.
Homeowners in the nearby area may experience some noise during night work which will be kept at a minimum. The water district apologizes in advance for any inconvenience the work may cause to residents or motorists.
