Fire Destroys Mobile Home, Injures Homeowner In Novato
Firefighters were able to stop the fire before it could reach an adjacent mobile home.
NOVATO, CA – A fire destroyed a mobile home, but the homeowner escaped the flames Wednesday night in Novato, fire officials said.
The Novato Fire Protection District received a call at 7:52 p.m. about a structure fire on Panorama and Marin Valley Drive. Crews arrived at the Marin Valley Mobile Country Club and found the home and a car fully involved. Firefighters were able to stop the fire before it could reach an adjacent mobile home.
The homeowner suffered a minor injury in the fire. Damage to the home was estimated at $450,000, including contents.

Four engines, a fire truck, medic unit, fire investigator and battalion chief from Novato, as well as units from the Marinwood and San Rafael fire departments responded to the scene. Novato police and PG&E also assisted at the incident.
The fire was brought under control at 8:21 p.m.
