Novato Activates its Emergency Operations Center in Response to Second Storm
The city of Novato and Novato Fire Protection District activated its emergency operations center at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

NOVATO, CA – In anticipation of a second significant storm, the city of Novato and Novato Fire Protection District activated its emergency operations center at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
The National Weather Service reports show another storm system will impact the area through Tuesday night, bringing strong, gusty winds and widespread rain to the region. The heaviest rainfall and greatest potential for flooding is expected to occur over the North Bay and coastal ranges during the day on Tuesday.
Although the total rainfall is expected to be less than the last storm, excessive ponding and associated roadway impacts are likely because the ground is still fully saturated. City officials also expect downed trees and power lines.
